Why wait till 2nd October? Follow these steps to get your Facebook Timeline now itself. Believe me, it is just awesome!
1. Log on to your Facebook
2. Click here to https://developers.facebook.com/apps login to the Facebook Developers Page. If this is the first time you are doing this, a pop up will appear on your screen requesting for permission. Click on <Allow>
3. Click on <Create New App> on the top right hand side.
4. You can enter anything you want in the App Display Name and in the App Namespace fields and agree to the Platform Privacy Policy and then click on <Continue>.
5. You need to prove that you are a human. 
Fill out the Captcha.
6. Once you click on submit, it will take you to a web page. Click on ‘Open Graph’ which is marked in red.
7. Now enter one action and one object for your app. You can enter the same as shown in the picture. And then click on <Get Started>.
8. On the next page, scroll to the bottom and just click on <Save Changes and Next> button.
9. On the next page too, scroll down to the bottom and click on <Save Changes and Next>
10. Here is the final step. Scroll down and just click on <Save and Finish> button.
That’s it. Go ahead and check out your new Timeline. Now go to your Facebook and you will see this message….
Just Click on <Get It Now> button and take a tour of your Timeline. Enjoy
P.S. Your timeline currently features your top photos and posts. Right now, only you can see what’s here. Take a tour and star, hide or add whatever you want. Then click Publish Now or wait until your timeline goes live on Monday, October 3, 2011.
