So lets be real people. Social Media is not something which can just magically double your sales and bring more traffic to your website. Here is what social media CAN’T achieve :
- Multiply your web traffic in 3 months.
- Make your brand/product a household name in a matter of time
- Be a complete marketing solution that solves all your needs and eliminate the need for all other channels.
While social media is great, it requires a lot of analysis, planning, continuous work, commitment and support from other marketing channels to be successful. Social media is not about tools, its about a approach.

I always thought it was strange that none of companies we worked with ever talked to their employees about their social media activity.Its amazing how many companies are talked about online by their employees and so they could be a part of their online branding and reputation management efforts.

Brands employ all possible strategies to suck in the consumers, attract them and retain them. Social media is under explored advertisement medium, at least in India. Come future you will see more brands online, engaging and updating their customers. This ranks 10 on Paul Dunay’s marketing predications list for 2009.
